Potancowka (Hoedown) is our first project signed by the new name KONCENTRAT Artistic Group. Potancowka is a performance that takes place 3 times only in Zlota Milonga club. It is performed by unprofessional dancers; people that treat dance as their hobby, life passion, and way to spend free time.

Our decision to inaugurate group's activity with such project is intentional: KONCENTRAT is not a contemporary dance theatre, but a group of individual artists who decided to work together.

We feel that all symptoms of good taste and non-consumption needs tend to get underground. Potancowka is a project that derives from our disagreement for intellectual and spiritual poverty, which can be watch on TV show, The Dacing with The Stars. Dance is more than just instrumental form of sexual exposure. Dance is a basic and origin form for expressing emotions and feelings.

To Potancowka production we invited dancers that are authentic in what they do, no matter age, appearance, physical fit; people that dance from love to dancing and can show its genuine beauty and ancient function. By referring to the archetype of a female and male and also to the myth of lost love, we will show that dance can demonstrate joy and sorrow, taste of life and passing time. 
In our performance we are showing the truth, what ballroom dance is: an deep human form of expression.

In Potancowka we will show dance in which body becomes a tool for the dancer, not only item of aesthetic esteem. We would like to show the truth, what ballroom dance is: an indeed human form of expression, not a platform to expose vanity. KONCENTRAT would also like the spectators to believe in their own value, to see the beauty beyond its stereotyped model. We want the spectators as well asPotancowka's performers to see and than feel freedom that only dance gives.
