RABBIT, DEATH AND THE RIDING CONTEST - description:
-
In 'Teatr' magazine questionnaire it was considered as the best dance theatre piece in Poland in 2008.
-
In nowytaniec.pl, questionnaire, for performance in Rabbit... Rafał Dziemidok was considered as the best Polish dancer of 2008
Rabbit is a proposal to be close, without the necessity to tell any story.
It is an organized manner of performer's amd spectator's growing old. Focused in dance - which creates the rythm of stage presence in time and in space - we grow older.
It is an observation of time, its passage and organization in cadences. Because the time has to pass, for the movement to happen in space and in spectator's mind.
It is an observation of becoming extinct - the light, movement, liveliness, life all wear out.
The piece was created based on the freely conceived mass of associations, ideas and images. Against the obligation to think, and to have a concept. Against the necessity: to write about the work, to have catchy slogans to explain anything.
Alike Nawrotnik, Rabbit was created in specific and inspiring interiors of Warsaw located photographic studio Berlin and in a way it can be considered ans a spin-off the older piece.
